What is toBee

What is toBee.team

toBee.team is not a conversational assistant you ask isolated questions. It is a complete team of specialist agents, coordinated by an orchestrator and supervised by an auditor, operating continuously inside your organisation.

What is an AI agent: the toBee.team agent team
The concept

What is an AI agent

A language model holds a conversation: it receives a question and returns a text. An AI agent does something different: it receives an objective, decides which steps to take, consults the information it needs and executes actions on real systems until the task is complete. The difference is not the quality of the answer, but the fact that the agent acts.

For an agent to work properly inside a company, three things are needed that an isolated model does not have: memory of previous work, someone to decide who does what, and access to the tools where the work actually happens.

The hard problem

Coordinating several agents is the hard problem

A single agent solves one task. As soon as several are needed, three problems appear that have to be solved by design.

Memory

Without persistent context, each agent starts from scratch in every session and repeats work already done. toBee.team maintains a knowledge base specific to each client, in text files that are readable, version-controlled and editable by a person: memories, decisions, lessons learned and a session log.

Coordination

Without a layer that distributes the work, agents duplicate tasks, leave gaps and nobody checks the result. toBee.team solves this with an explicit hierarchy: orchestrator, area leads and specialists.

Action

An agent that only generates text changes nothing. toBee.team executes on real systems (email, CRM, ERP, databases, document generation) through an automation layer connected by API or by MCP.
The proposition

A team, not an assistant: AI agents for business

The agents work with the company's information and on its own systems, like any other department.

The toBee.team orchestrator directs the hive

An orchestrator that directs

It sets priorities, assigns work to the right area and maintains overall alignment. It is the entry point: a single request sets in motion whoever is needed.

An auditor that verifies

It reviews results, controls quality and checks compliance with the rules before anything reaches the person who asked for it.

The toBee.team auditor verifies every result

Area leads and specialists

Each area of the company has its lead, and each lead deploys the specialist agents it needs for specific tasks.

Comparison

What makes toBee.team different from a chatbot

A standalone AI or a chatbot

  • Answers isolated questions, one at a time.
  • Loses context between conversations.
  • Works in isolation, with no access to your systems.
  • Nobody reviews what it produces.
  • Does literally what it is asked.

toBee.team

  • A team coordinated by an orchestrator.
  • Maintains persistent memory across sessions.
  • Connected to your email, CRM, ERP and documents.
  • An auditor verifies every result.
  • Interprets the intent and proposes the best route.

The practical difference: a chatbot has to be asked for things one by one, and everything it returns has to be checked. toBee.team is given an objective.

Step by step

How a task flows: AI agents for automation

1. Request

A task comes in, either by direct request from a person or triggered by a system event (a new email, an invoice received, a date in the calendar).

2. Reasoning and delegation

The orchestrator interprets the request and assigns it to the relevant area lead, who in turn distributes it among their specialists.

3. Memory

The agent consults the accumulated context before starting, so as not to repeat what is already resolved, and updates it with what it learns during the task.

4. Action

It executes what is needed on the company's real systems: it sends, queries, records, generates the document or updates the entry.

5. Verified result

The auditor and the layer that delegated the task review the output before it is considered closed. Only then does it reach the person who asked for it.
Architecture

A three-layer architecture

toBee.team separates three responsibilities that are usually mixed together, and that separation is what allows the system to grow without being rewritten.

toBee.team three-layer architecture

Memory

The client's persistent knowledge: context, decisions and lessons learned in text files that a person can read and correct.

Coordination

The layer where the agents and their hierarchy live. It reasons, delegates and verifies. Agents are activated by events and by scheduled cycles, without anyone launching them by hand.

Execution

The layer that acts. Each workflow exposes a set of actions to the agents through a dedicated MCP server, reusable across agents and across projects.

Why this separation matters

Each layer evolves separately: changing the memory does not force you to touch execution. Every delegation and every verification is logged, so it is possible to reconstruct what each agent decided and why. And adding capacity means adding a specialist to the hierarchy, not rebuilding the system.

Let's look at which agents your company needs

The hive is designed to measure, based on how your company works, which tools it uses and which processes take up the most time. The first step is a diagnostic conversation, with no obligation.
